Light mode is the default appearance of the board, but this can be changed to dark mode if you wish. Do this by going to your user control panel (by tapping on your username on the right of the screen just below the blue header bar) and select User Control Panel), select the Board preferences tab and then under Edit global settings choose Dark Theme as your board style. Then tap the Submit button. The board will switch to dark mode after a few seconds' delay. To switch back to light mode just follow these steps again, choosing Light Theme (Default) as your board style.
You can edit your profile in the User Control Panel - this enables you to change some of the information you gave when you created your account (but not your username); your Job title & institution and Location will appear in a panel to the right of your posts . You can also create a signature (Profile > Edit signature), which is a block of text that will be added to the bottom of your posts .
You can change your email address and/or change your password in the profile section of your User Control Panel - these changes will require you to enter the password you created when you first created your account.
